Flanged platter/bowl #wall-hanging. #clay-painting I love making this shape on the #potterswheel. I start off with a bowl shape and then flatten the edges with a straight edge with the intention of Levine chatter marks. These marks set the stage for the ocean resemblance. The chatters remind me of the beach as the tide recedes back into Itself and the #sliptrailing reminds me a bit of bull kelp which is found here on the west coast. The spirals reflect the tidal pools and rip tides that amaze me. @marilyn_simmar … don't worry, this is yours.
