On Alert Bay off Northern Vancouver Island. This is a totem pole outside the museum here. If you are visiting Vancouver Island, do yourself a treat and get to alert bay to see the collection of repatriated masks right here. What a history. I really love in a magical place just a 3 hr drive from here (okay, plus a ferry ride too) but seriously so inspiring. Makes me wish I was a student carver learning from some of the most insanely talented First Nations wood carvers right here. I’ll be getting back to my clay studio pretty soon. Exciting to be able to get back to making pots. Has anything inspired you lately? Sharzies please.
