On Line Gallery of images of Pottery. This series or design is called "MIDNIGHT...".

if you have looked around my different pottery galleries on this site, you will note that much of the pottery is bright and cheerful, colourful, and funky, whimsical, and naive in its decoration.
There has always been a side of my personality that is effervescent, and entertaining.  There is also another side of my personality that is quiet, subtle, and introspective. 

As I mature as a person and an artist, I find that I am not as concerned as being the 'life of the party' so to speak as I once was when I was younger.

I have become more interested in standing on the sidelines observing what is around me as opposed to being in the middle of it all. It is this series, which speaks to that quieter side, willing to have people come a bit closer and explore, examine and spend time with me.

The other series' of pottery, colourful and bright, is what you could call surface deep and very approachable. 

This MIDNIGHT series requires that one seek understanding below the surface.  This series includes multilayered blues and greens, dark browns and golds.  The glazes are rich and deep and complex, producing pottery that is both subtle and intreguing.
